Entech is led by a very capable staff with broad-based and extensive experience in hazardous waste analysis. In the paragraphs to follow, we will give a brief background on our facilities and our quality control program. You will note that Entech has the capacity to handle large projects in each of our analysis sections. We operate with the latest technology and have back-up instrumentation for most methods.
Entech is located at in an 8,000 sq. ft. facility at 3334 Victor Court, Santa Clara. We have an overall capacity of more than 3000 samples per month. A summary of our equipment by laboratory is shown below.
Volatile Organic Analysis:
This laboratory has 4 GC/MS instruments for full list EPA 8260B volatile analyses, and 3 GCs for EPA 8020 type analysis. Each of these instruments is supported by a high capacity autosampler, 4 of which are the latest Archon models, giving each instrument a capacity exceeding 20 samples per day.
Semi-Volatile Organic Analysis:
This laboratory has 1 GC/MS for semi-volatile analysis, 3 GCs for EPA fuel pattern analyses and 2 GCs for Pesticide/PCB analyses. Again, each of these instruments has a HP 7673 100 position autosampler. Furthermore, two additional GCs are available for low-level alcohol analysis and the other is fitted with a Tekmar 7000 Zero Head Space autosampler. Each of the fuel pattern and Pesticide/PCB instruments has the capability of more than 20 samples per day. These instruments and the listed throughputs are supported by automatic extraction equipment in our sample preparation.
Inorganic Analysis:
With two ICPs (one a sequential, the other for trace analysis), a Graphite Furnace/Atomic Absorption instrument, and a cold-vapor mercury analyzer, the metals analysis capability of the laboratory is significant. Furthermore, the Trace instrument is capable of detection limits of those for ICP/MS. Both the Graphite Furnace/AA and mercury instruments are equipped with autosamplers and our capacity in this area is in excess of 40 samples per day.
In addition, our wet chemistry laboratory is equipped with the standard array of meters, spectrophotometers and titration equipment as well as a TOC analyzer and a Dionex Ion Chromatograph with an autosampler and dual column capability.
General Laboratory Equipment:
To supplement the above analyses, the laboratory contains numerous additional instruments and capabilities. Among them are 3 TCLP rotators, a Zero Head Space rotator and a variety of ovens, balances, hoods, sonicatators, etc.
